As the Lower Mainland moves to greener living, the demand for bike lanes on roadways has increased the need for a durable marking that offers visibility and skid-resistant properties in “conflict” zones, such as intersections and driveways. Our skid-resistant material is a methyl-methacrylate (MMA) paint that hardens much like an epoxy. We add refracted calcined bauxite to the MMA prior to application to increase skid-resistance and durability. The product comes in a variety of colours depending on specification – bike lanes (Vancouver Green), bus lanes (red), decorative crossings (rainbow), and steep grade hills where stopping in the rain is an issue (natural/gray).
